I was worried that this was going to be a loud distraction that I would have to put up with. That is definitely not the case. The monkey’s cymbals only bang with the movement of pulling tape and the sound isn’t loud or bothersome at all. My kids love it, so my favorite aspect of this dispenser is that I no longer have to ask, “who took Mom’s tape?!” Overall, I would definitely recommend this fun and useful tape dispenser.

Bought this for my kids, and they love it! With school starting, projects have begun and our clapping monkey tape dispenser has already seen a fair bit of use. I think it actually encourages my kids to be more creative because they like to use it so much. I had read the reviews before buying and many people complained about it breaking and not making noise. Well, it makes noise (but you have to pull the tape fast) and its quite functional and oh so very cute! My office mate loves it and now NO ONE can steal it because it can be spotted a mile away!

This was a Christmas present for my grown up niece–a bit of whimsy which she loved. The monkey is very cute. Having read some of the negative reviews, I was worried about it’s ability to dispense the tape. But, her father, an electrical engineer who once worked on the moon space program, figured out the problem–the tape that comes with the dispenser is relatively thick and heavy. He replaced it with a roll of scotch tape, which is thinner and lighter, and my niece tells me the dispenser works just fine. So, it’s not only cute, it works. I hope this simple solution works for everybody who has had problems with the tape dispenser.

Packaging was not the greatest, seller just shipped in a bubble envelope and this item is no where close to being flat. Hence, it arrived a bit beat up. It really should have been sent in a box.
