First don’t let the cute looks fool you, this thing sharpens brilliantly and and it makes pencil sharpening fun and makes the task of sitting down to get homework done a little less unpleasant, my kiddos took to sharpening all their colored pencils and then sat down to color. Yep. I’ll take in the sounds of sirens in exchange for having them sit down to color for an extended period of time. This is such a win!

This pencil sharpener was purchased for grandson. He loves it. It is well built and easy to empty out shavings. The sound can be turned off if you like, but he likes it.

It was smaller than I expected and the sirens play for a loooooong time so it is disruptive to class. The back to empty the shavings is very hard to remove and after several times spilling pencil shavings everywhere emptying it, it became easier because it broke. Cute if you know a deputy, but not practical for a classroom. It does a poor job sharpening pencils too.

Awesome Product! I bought 3, one of each design. The pink ice cream one is for my girls and we absolutely love it. Overall the product is well made and does an amazing job at sharpening. The lights and sounds are also super fun! I like that there is a switch to turn the sound off when necessary (Thanks for thinking of us parents!). The only thing I found tricky was opening the shavings compartment to clean it out…but once I figured it out it is no biggie. You have to press the sides of the back of the truck simultaneously, you hear a click, then you pull the back off. Make sure you are over a trash can because I made a mess the first time.
These are great for back to school. I can’t wait to give the other two to my nephews and BTW…the fire truck and police truck have different siren sounds which is a super nice touch.

I am not certain of the suction power, easy to use, and easy to clean, issues; however I gave it a 5 star because it is a cool pencil sharpener. My grandson love’s it, he said it is cool pencil sharpener. I did not like the other sharpener like the animal head style because the sharpener was placed in the eye; and that can mislead for the small kids. They might think that it is ok to poke the real animal in the eye 🙂

I bought this product after I purchased Amazeko’s tape dispenser… and it’s a great product. First and foremost it’s a great sharpener… you do have to push a little harder than other electric sharpeners, but when you do, the point on the pencil is surgically sharp! Perfect in other words. The lights and sounds are, as with the monkey tape dispenser, super fun and exciting for the kids. I have found the kids no longer want to use mechanical pencils so they now have an excuse just to sharpen their regular pencils with this product. If you’re looking for a fun and useful back to school gift, this is perfect.
